Write a Line, Win 3 Bulbs!
basilbias.com is now my blog’s official name! Although its previous name, ‘the work at hand,’ was rich in significance (coming as it did from an essay by Carol Flinders) it wasn’t very catchy at all. And so, by popular consensus, my blog will now be known as, well, what it’s always been known as.
To celebrate the name change (and the requisite reworking of my ‘about’ page) I am giving away a free 3-pack of TCP SpringLight 23 watt compact fluorescent light bulbs to the person (or household) who comes up with the best tagline for basilbias.com. The tagline will appear at the top of the page by the new name. From what I gather, taglines are very important in giving potential readers a quick idea of what a blog is about, who’s writing it, and making them (the readers) want to read on.
So include your tagline(s) in a comment at the end of this post. You can enter as many taglines as you can come up with. If two people’s are almost identical, I will give credit to the first person who posted it.The deadline is June 1st.
I would like to let everybody vote on the best tagline at the end, rather than making a unilateral decision, but I haven’t figured out how to get the survey plugin to work yet, so I’m not making any promises!
